La Fête des Vendanges de Montmartre - Every October, the locals from the , 18th arrondissement, from Paris and its suburbs, from Ile-de-France or from all over the world come together in Paris to celebrate the farmers' hard work of the year.

The magnificent Sacré Coeur de Montmartre (Sacred Heart of Montmartre) is livened up with music, chatters, laughters and even people dancing on the street.
It's a festival of indulgence and appreciation. Farmers and venders will showcase the best produce of the year, while visitors can taste a varieties of flavours as they wish.
The autumn air is infused with the tempting smell of tartiflette, saucisse and mulled wine.
The Festival usually runs for about 5 days. Across the Festival there will be wine tasting trail where around a hundred of producers and wine growers from all over France will gladly share their knowledge, regional specialities and the love for their unique terroir.

While wine is the star of the show, there will be plenty of gourmet for your tastebuds to party. Anybody likes freshly shucked oysters?

How about some rich, hearty tartiflette - the ultimate comfort food from the Alpine with melted reblochon (cheese), potatoes and smoked bacon?

You could easily spend a couple of hours, eating, drinking, humming along the tunes or just enjoy the good vibes around you.

After your visit, don't forget to drop by the nearby Moulin Rouge, take some photos from the outside of book yourself in their infamous cabaret at dinner.

The event is free and all ages are welcome. Don't forget to wear comfy shoes for the cobble stone alleyways, and bring an extra layers as it can get cool quite quickly this time of the year in Paris (October).
