Hasting Caves, the largest dolomites caves in the Southern Hemisphere that existed beyond any living being, hence there was not even fossils.
There's still little sign of life in the cave. The mysterious labyrinth of chambers makes it difficult for any life form to make it in and safely out and not a lot of animals dare to try. Remains of a brave explorer = a wallaby who went in the cave a few thousand years ago was found near the opening, sadly, without making it out of the cave.


Once you've explore the chilling caves don't miss having a splash thermal pool in the sun amongst the forest, take a short walking following the Hot Springs Track to discover where the warm waters meet the cold waters. Dip your fingers in and feel the magical change of the water temperature.

There are BBQ, toilet and shower facilities where you can enjoy a barbecue and chilling out with friends and family in this beautiful nature surrounds.

Continue your adventure and follow the scenic road to Duckhold Lake is. It's a short drive away (about 42 km return from Hastings Cave). The lake is actually a flooded sinkhole and is part of the surrounding cave and karst landscape.
Go further south to Cockle Creek to see Australia's most southerly extremity and taking in the in the fresh cool breeze from the Southern Ocean.
